NPCs with the party
- Calderis: also known as The Dagger, a bandit leader who was robbing merchants on the road between Baldur's Gate and Elturel. Her gang was wiped out by cultitsts from Baldur's Gate - she was saved by the PCs.
Elturel (lost with the city)
- Ultan Ravengard: the (former) head of the Flaming Fists, he was on a diplomatic mission to Elturel at the time of the cataclysm.
- Thavius Kreeg: the (former) High Overseer of Elturel. He was supposed to meet with Ravengard to conduct negotiations.
- Gideon Lightward: the (former) High Rider of the Hellriders. Responsible for the massacre of the Hellrider Garrison at Fort Monrninglord.
Freed by the party from the dungeon beneath the Frolicking Nymph bathhouse. Subsequently escaped.
Baldur's Gate
- Flame Zodge: the superior of Emeryck within the Flaming Fist, he commissioned the party to investigate a series of murders in the city, in exchange for a permit to enter and leave the city freely.
- Tatiana: an informant of Zodge, provided a lead to the party during their investigation of the murders.
- Liara Portyr: a high-ranking officer of the Flaming Fist, and the daughter of Duke Dillard Portyr. The Portyrs are a powerful noble family in Baldur's Gate, no doubt wanting to further their cause by filling the power vacuum left by the loss of Duke Ulder Ravengard.
- The Vanthampurs: another powerful family of Baldur's Gate, they own the Frolicking Nymph bath-house, under which the cult of the Dead Three has their headquarters.
Mortlock Vanthampur was seen by the party at the Frolicking Nymph bath house.
No longer with the party:
- Emeryck Tallvale: a Flaming Fists officer, tasked with apprehending the bandit Calderis. After accompanying the party on their journey from Elturel to Baldur's Gate , and helping them enter the city, Emeryck left to tend to his duties in the Flaming Fist.
- Larkam: the hunter who led the PCs to the trail of the bandits. He is now in the refugee caravan outside the walls of Baldur's Gate.
- Nephyl: a tiefling prisoner, locked up 'under false pretenses' at Fort Morninglord. The party freed him in exchange for an account of what happened at the fort. Nephyl later escaped the party after they tried to tie him up and carry him to BG.
